Tatiana following the footsteps of Princess Grace of Monaco

 Tatiana-Andrea-Wedding  royal wedding

The steps from the Palace Courtyard have become iconic themselves and Princess Grace has made them memorable on numerous occasions.  On August 31, 2013 the steps of the palace welcomed the daughter-in-law of H.R.H. Princess Caroline of Monaco as her son, Andrea  Casiraghi, wed Tatiana Santo Domingo.

Andrea Casiraghi is second in line to the throne of Monaco after his mother, although he currently has no title and technically is not a Grimaldi. Even though he lives a princely life, the Palace does not report his coming and goings.  However, the matrimony legitimizes Andrea and Tatiana’s daughter, Sacha Casiraghi, as the third in line to the throne. May they all live long and happy lives, including Andrea’s uncle, Prince Albert, the reigning Prince of Monaco.

The wedding was attended by 350–400 guests, and was followed by an al fresco lunch by the Palace pool.

This wedding was a rather private event, but  is the first of two weddings to take place this year within the royal family of Monaco, when Andrea’s younger sister, Charlotte, will wed  actor, Gad  Emaleh, in the fall.
