Monaco Twins First Birthday

Year 1 reviewed and 10 minute video interview with Prince Albert, Princess Charlene as well as Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques

Monaco is in full joy as the Princely Family celebrates their babies’ first birthday with smiles this Thursday December 10th. Prince Albert opted for creating a private magical family afternoon rather than a public royal birthday party.  Although there was a small public event that was very festive.

Even though this is mostly a private event, the ever-fashionable Princess Charlene makes sure that the Monaco Twins shine.  Crown Prince Jacques Honoré Rainier, the Marquis of Baux, and Gabriella Thérèse Marie, Countess of Carladès, will be recorded with the admiration of every parent’s first child’s birthday.  Like any proud father Prince Albert confided: “I want to take some pictures, some movies of them, so it’s just going to be a family day.”  So for generations to come, will be able to enjoy the photos of Monaco twins first birthday.

Back in March 14, 1959, Prince Albert himself was the center of attention at his first birthday. His sisters, Princess Caroline (the first born child of Grace Kelly) celebrated her first birthday on  January 23, 1958  and Princess Stephanie celebrated her first birthday on February 1, 1966.  Here is what they all looked like at age 1!

The first birthday of the Monaco Twins is bound to bring some surprises as both Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques have recently begun to take their first steps and have been trying to say little bits of words.  “They really want to express themselves and I speak to them in French. In everyday life, they are very playful and curious” revealed the happy father.

In a recent interview with People Magazine, Prince Albert praised Princess Charlene for her devotion to motherhood this past year,  “I don’t think they would be as smiling and happy as they are if she weren’t as good a mother as she is.” and stated “She’s very eager to be with her children at all times. She’s up with the kids at six and takes them through the morning. Every day,”

GraceKelly--grandmother

Earlier this year, Prince Albert said Grace Kelly would have been an outstanding grandmother.  She would for sure been reading stories to her grand-kids and both Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella would have been mesmerized with that Princess Grace voice.   Listen to her beautiful French as she reads this story.
